Notwithstanding anything contained in section 48, the Board of Management shall be competent to invite on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor, a person of high academic distinction and professional attainment to accept the post of Visiting Professor in the University on such terms and conditions, as may be mutually agreed upon between the Board of Management and such person for a period, not exceeding one year at a time.
