No act or proceedings taken under this Act by any authority or other body of the University shall be invalid merely on the ground,— (a) ofany vacancy or defect in the constitution of the authority or body ; or (b) of any defect or irregularity in election, nomination or appointment of a person acting as member thereof ; or (c) of any defect or irregularity in such act or proceeding, not affecting the merits of the’case.
