(1) The Vice-Chancellor, shall be appointed by the Chancellor from amongst the panel of three persons recommended by the Governing Body. (2) No person shall be appointed as Vice-Chancellor, unless he possesses such qualifications, as are specified by the University Grants Commission. (3) The Vice-Chancellor shall be the overall in-charge of the ‘University, who shall exercise general superintendence and control in the affairs of the University and shall execute the decisions of various authorities of the University. (4) Incase of the absence of the Visitor and the Chancellor, the Vice- Chancellor shall preside over the convocation of the University. PUNJAB GOVT GAZ.
