- S. 1(1) This Act may be called the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Act, 1998

- S. 13(1) The Governor of Punjab shall by virtue of his office be the Chancellor of the University
- S. 14(1) The Vice-Chancellor shall be a whole time and resident officer of the University

- S. 19(1) The Controller of Examinations shall be a whole time officer appointed by the Board of Management
- S. 20(1) The Finance Officer shall be a whole time salaried officer of the University, appointed by the Board of Management

- S. 25(1) The meetings of the Senate shall be held at least twice a year on the dates to be fixed by the Vice-Chancellor

- S. 28(1) The Board of Management shall be the Principal executive authority of the University

- S. 31The constitution, powers and functions of the Planning Board shall be such, as may be prescribed by the statutes
- S. 32The constitution, powers and functions of the Finance Committee shall be such, as may be prescribed by the statutes
- S. 33The Faculties of the University, their constitution, functions and powers shall be such as may be prescribed by the sta
- S. 34There shall be boards of studies attached to each Faculty of the University

- S. 36The University may have such other funds also, as may be prescribed by the statutes
- S. 37The University may, for any of the purposes prescribed by the statutes, borrow money from a bank or a corporation
- S. 38All the funds of the University shall be managed in such manner, as may be prescribed by the statutes
