The Registrar shall- (1) be the custodian of the records, the common seal and such other property of the University as the Board of Governors may commit to his charge; (2) issue notice to convene meetings of the Board of Governors, Academic Council and any Committees appointed by the Authorities; (3) issue and keep the minutes of all the meetings of the Board of Governors, the Academic Council and any other Committees appointed by the Authorities; (4) conduct the official correspondence of the Board of Governors, the Academic Council and any other Committees appointed by the Authorities; Functions of the Registrar. 273 PART–II] LA GAZETTE DE L'ETAT (5) place before the Board of Governors and other Authorities of the University, all such information or documents as may be necessary for transaction of its business; (6) represent the University in suits or proceedings by or against the University, sign Power of Attorney and verify pleadings or depute his representative for the purpose and discharge his function under the superintendence, direction and guidance of the Vice- Chancellor and perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by the Vice-Chancellor or the Board of Governors from time to time.
