(1) There shall be paid to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly a salary of one thousand rupees per mensem and dearness allowance at such rates as officers of Government drawing a salary of one thousand rupees per mensem shall be entitled to from time to time, 1B[and a constituency allowance of 1C[seven thousand and five hundred rupees] per mensem]. 2(2) [x x x x] Added by Act 13 of 2003. Omitted by Act 9 of 1992 and it ran as follows: (2) There shall be paid to the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly a salary of seven hundred and fifty rupees per mensem and dearness allowance at such rates as officers of Government drawing a salary of seven hundred and fifty rupees shall be entitled to from time to time. (a) a salary of seven hundred and fifty rupees per mensem and dearness allowance at such rates as officers of Government drawing a salary of seven hundred and fifty rupees per mensem shall be entitled to from time to time; and (b) a consolidated sum of two hundred rupees per mensem towards expenditure on his residence while in the City of Trivandrum and for journeys within the City of Trivandrum and a radius of eight kilometers thereof.
