Power to levy, collect fee and water tax :– (1) A Farmer's Organisation may for carrying out the performances of this Act, achieving the objects of the organisation and performing its function, levy and collect such fees as may be prescribed by Government and/or decided by the organisation from time to time. (2) In case of Lift Irrigation Points, the Farmer's Organisation shall fix a water rate which may cover the cost of the energy charges and maintenance charges of the project. In case a water user does not utilise any water in any particular season, the Farmer's Organisation shall be competent to fix such minimum charges as my be decided by the General Body of the Farmer's Organisation. No water tax will be collected by the Orissa Lift Irrigation Corporation from the members of the Farmer's Organisation. (3) The Farmer's Organisation may collect water tax in such of the projects and in the manner specified by the Government from time to time.
