(1) Notwithstanding anylhing contained in the Recruilment Rules, nine Lecturers as specified in the Schedule, who were appointed to the service on ad hoc basis by the Governmenl and are continuing as such. shall be deemed to have been validly and regularly appoinled in the service with effect horn the date of commencement of this Acl and no such appointment shah be challenged in any Courl of Law merely on the ground thal such appointments wcre made olh- erwise than in accordance with the provisions of the 17ecruitment Rules. (2) The Lecturers whose appointments are so val~dated under sub-section ll,.. . (I ) shall be treated as entering into the service from the date of commencement , !,;I:;', , of this Acr and heir past ad hoc service shall only be counted for the purposes .. . . . -- gl pension, leave and increment and for no olher purpose. (3) The Leclurers whose appointments are so validated under sub-section (I), shall be enblock junior to Ihe Lecturers who have been appointed lo'lhe service in the respective discipjine in accordance with the Recruitment Rules prior to the commencement of [his Act. (4) The inlerse seniority among lhe Lecturers whose appointments are sa validated under sub-section (1) shall be fixed basing on their date of joining as ad lloc Lecturers.
