Prohibition to bury or burn in unregistered ground :– After the expiration of the three months mentioned in Section 317, no corpse shall be buried or burnt otherwise than in a place which is borne on the register of the municipality as an open burial or burning ground, or has been provided by the municipality for the purpose; but the Executive Officer may grant special permission for a corpse to be buried or burnt elsewhere.
