In this Act unlessthere is anything repugnant DoanitjonB in the subject or context— (i) " petition writer " meansa person carryin g on his profession as such under the terms andconditions of a valid licenee in any of the merged territoriæ of the State of Orissa during the period from the 1st January 1948 to the 30th June 1951. (ii) "prescribed" mems prescribed by rules made by the High Court under this Act.
