(1) Subject to the provisions of clause (h) of section 6 and the provisions of the Odisha Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fee) Act, 2007 regulating admission to all courses offered by the University shall be done strictly from All India Examinations on merit basis and in accordance with the norms and guidelines prescribed by the Regulatory Bodies or the UGC as the case may be depending on the course in which students seek admission. (2) In absence of the guidelines under sub-section (1), admission in the University shall be made strictly on the basis of merit. (3) Merit for admission in the University may be determined on the basis of marks or grade obtained in the qualifying examination and Procedure for making Rules. Power to amend Rules. Admission. 25 achievements in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and on the basis of marks or grade obtained in the entrance test conducted at State or National level either by an association of the Universities conducting similar courses or by any agency of the State.
