(1) The admission procedure shall be in accordance with the norms and guidelines prescribed by the U.G.C. or other Regulatory Bodies, as the case may be, depending on the course in which students seek admission. (2) In absence of the guidelines under sub-section (1) admission in the University shall be made strictly on the basis of merit. Power to amend the Statutes. Rules. Procedure for making Rules. Admission. 15 (3) Merit for admission in the University may be determined on the basis of marks or grade obtained in the qualifying examination and achievements in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and on the basis of marks or grade obtained in the entrance test conducted at State level either by an association of the Universities conducting similar courses or by any agency of the State. (4) Special weightage shall be given to Tribal and girls students with respect to admission to various courses of the University.
