After Rule 35 the following Rule shall be inserted as Rule 35A. “35 A. The Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner shall not try and decide civil suits and cases triable by the Customary Courts after Chapter IVA of the Rules has been made applicable to an’. area or areas and Customary Courts thereunder are constituted for that area or areas Provided that any appeal, suits or civil cases pending before the enforcement of the present Amendment Act or enforcement of Chapter IVA in any area, shall be continued and disposed of, as if Chapter IVA had not come into force.” OFFENCE & PENALTY
