In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires (a) “Board” means the Nagaland Housing Board constituted under section 3 (b) “Board” Premises” means any premises belonging to or taken on lease by or on behalf of the Board or vested in or entrusted to or in possession or under the control of the Board under this Act; (c) “Chairman” means the Chairman of the Board; (d) “Government” means the Government ot Nagaland; (e) “Housing Scheme” means the Housing Scheme made under this Act, the rules and regulations framed thereunder; (f) “Local Authority” means a Town Committee, Municipal Board and a Village Council established under the Nagaland Village and Area Councils Act, 1978 (g) “Member” means a member of the Board; (h) “Prescribed” means prescribed by Rules made under this Act; (i) “Premises” means any land or building or part of a building and includes; (i) the garden, grounds and out-houses, if any, appurtenant to such building, and (ii) any fitting affixed to such building or part of building for the more beneficial enjoyment thereof; (j) “Rules” means rules made under this Act; (k) “Regulations” means Regulations made under this Act; (I) “Section” means a Section of this Act.
