Supervision of investigation taken up by the Special Crime Investigation Unit.- The investigations of cases taken up by the Special Crime Investigation Unit, over and above the supervision by the Station House Officer/Officer-in-Charge concerned, will be supervised at the district level by an officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, assisted by an appropriate number of officers to ensure quality investigation on professional lines.
