Amendment of : Section 58 of the Principal Act shall be substituted by the following, namely :- Section 58 “58. Discretionary functions of the Municipality: Subject to appropriate notification by the State Government and having regard to the satisfactory performance in respect of functions listed under Section 57, a Municipality may undertake or perform any other functions entrusted to it by the State Government in consultation with the concerned municipality.”
