Tenure of office of members : A member of the Council shall hold office for a term of five years from the date of his election or nomination or until his successor shall have been duly elected or, as the case may be nominated, whichever is earlier, and shall be eligible for re-election or re-nomination. However, no member will be eligible to hold the office of President or Vice President for more than two consecutive terms.
