Officers and persons exercising powers under this Act to be public servants :- (1) All officers appointed under this Act and every person authorised to exercise any powers conferred or to pertorm any duties imposed on him by or under this Act shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code. (2) No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against the appropriate Govern- ment or any other or person for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act or any rules made thereunder.
