Resignation of office as member of Panchayat Samiti.— Any member of a Panchayat Samiti 1* * * * may resign his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Chairman, and the Chairman may resign his office as member of the Panchayat Samiti by writing under his hand 2[addressed to the President; and the office of the member shall thereupon become vacant]. 3[The notice of resignation shall be delivered in the manner prescribed.]
