(1) As soon as may be, after the commencement of this Act, the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, establish the Nashik- Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela Authority to exercise the powers conferred on it and perform the functions assigned to it under this Act. (2) The Authority shall be a body corporate, having perpetual succession and a common seal, with power to acquire, hold and dispose of property, both movable and immovable, and to contract, and may by the said name sue or be sued. (3) The headquarters of the Authority shall be at Nashik.
