Limitation of liability of agent or trustee or owner.— No person who receives the rent of any premises in any capacity described in sub-clauses (i), (ii) and (iii) of clause (m) of section 3 shall be liable to do anything which is by this Act required to be done by the owner, unless he has sufficient funds of or due to the owner to pay for the same. 1 Sub-sections (3) to (6) were added by Mah. 22 of 2017, s. 3(a). 2 Now see the Maharashtra Rent Control Act, 1999 (Mah.
