Fixing of brackets, etc to houses.-- A Council may erect or fix to the outside of any building, brackets for lamps to be lighted with oil or gas or subject to the provisions of the Indian Electricity Act. 1910 (IX of 1990) ; for lamps to be lighted with electricity or otherwise or subject to the provisions of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 (XIII of 1885), for telegraph wires or telephone wires or wires for the conduct of electricity or such pipes as it may deem necessary for the proper ventilation of sewers and water works. Such brackets, wires and pipes shall be erected so as not to occasion any danger, inconvenience or nuisance to the occupants of the said building, or of any others in the neighbourhood or to the public.
