Before he sanctions an application for the supply of water to supplement a village tank, the Executive Engineer shall intimate to the applicants, the approximate sum that will be charged for the water required. This shall be done In writing in Form 5 and the applicants shall sign thereon a statement that they undertake jointly and severally to pay the sum calculated at the prescribed rate for water actually supplied in Form No.6.
