Pending Cases.- (1) No child shall be denied the benefits of the Act and the rules made thereunder. (2) The benefits referred to in sub-rule (1) shall be made available to all persons who were children at the time of the commission of the offence, even if they ceased to be children during the pendency of the inquiry or trial. (3) While computing the period of detention or stay or sentence of a child in conflict with law, all such period which the child had already spent in custody, detention, stay or sentence of imprisonment shall be counted as a part of the period of stay or detention or sentence of imprisonment contained in the final order of the court or the Board.
