The Central Provinces Probation of Offenders Act, 1936 (I of 1936) Section 1- (i) For sub-section (2), substitute the following, namely :-- " (2) It extends to the whole of Madhya Pradesh. (2-A) It shall be in force in all such areas of Madhya Pradesh in which it was in force immediately before the commencement of the Madhya Pradesh Extension of Laws Act, 1958 (23 of 1958), and may be brought into force in such other areas and on such dates as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct." (ii) In sub-section (3), for "Mahakoshal region" substitute "Madhya Pradesh".
