1 [6A. Removal of Chairman, Member, etc., from the Commission.-- The Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, remove from office any member of the Commission who-- (a) is or becomes subject to any of the disqualifications mentioned in section 6; or (b) in the opinion of the Central Government has failed or is unable to carry out his duties; or (c) absents himself from three consecutive meetings of the Commission without the leave of the Commission: Provided that before issuing any such notification, the Central Government shall give an opportunity to the member concerned to show cause against such removal.]
