(1) For the effective superintendence of endowments referred to in sub-section (2) of Section 37 the Devaswom Commissioner may, with the sanction of the Board, either appoint officers of the Devaswom Department or a committee consisting of such officials and non-officials. (2) The Devaswom Commissioner may, with the sanction of the Board, from time to time, pass rules regulating the constitution and the duties of committees, the qualification of members and other matters connected therewith. (3) In cases where the trusteeship is conferred by election, the Devaswom Commissioner may, with the sanction of the Board, pass rules regulating such election.
