Cessation of membership.— A member of a Council shall be deemed to have vacated his seat,— (a) on the expiry of the term of office; (b) on resignation; (c) on being absent without sufficient cause in the opinion of the Council concerned from three consecutive meetings of such Council; or (d) on becoming subject to any of the disqualifications mentioned in section 11. 47
