Membership

(1) Membership in the Fund is open to all who possess valid agency or who possess genuine sellership, and who has sold the prescribed minimum number of tickets in a month. (2) A person intending to become a member can obtain a Seller's Ticket Account Book on payment of a fee of Rs. 25 from the District Welfare Officer of Lottery and after attaining the prescribed minimum target of sale can prefer application for admission to the Fund. (3) A member of the Fund shall continue to purchase tickets of Kerala State Lottery for an average amount of Rupees Ten Thousand per month and in case of default, a cumulative total of Rupees Thirty Thousand is to be maintained at the end of a quarter. A member shall maintain proper accounts of the tickets purchased by him in the Seller's Ticket Account Book for verification by the District Welfare Officer of Lottery. (4) The applicants for membership shall have attained the age of 18 years and shall not exceed 60 years as on the date of application for membership. (5) A member of the Fund shall cease to be a member on attaining 70 years of age. (6) A company or a firm or an association of individuals or a Co-operative Society is not eligible for membership, but the sellers engaged under them are eligible for membership in the Fund, (7) Persons other than ex-service personnel who are in receipt of any pension or similar benefits from any Government/Quasi-Government bodies shall not eligible for membership in the Fund. (8) Any State Government employees including employees of Public Sector Undertakings and other Government owned bodies who is an agent or seller shall not eligible for membership in the Fund. (9) Individuals who are members of other welfare funds or schemes shall not eligible for membership in the Fund.
