Appointment, powers and duties of the Cyber Controller—(1) The Cyber Controller shall be a whole time salaried officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Syndicate for a period of four years from the date on which he enters upon his office or till he completes the age of fifty-six years, whichever is earlier and on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed by Statutes: Provided that, the first Cyber Controller shall be appointed by the Government on the basis of the conditions determined by the Government. (2) The person appointed as Cyber Controller shall be eligible for reappointment for one more period subject to the provisions in sub-section (1). (3) The Cyber Controller shall exercise such powers and perform such duties under the provisions of this Act and Statutes made thereunder.
