In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) the expression "kudikidappukaran" shall have the meaning assigned to it in the Kerala Land Reforms Act, 1963 (1 of 1964); (b) "prescribed" means prescribed by the rules made under this Act; (c) "prescribed officer" means an officer not below the rank of deputy Tahsildar appointed by the Government to exercise the powers and discharge the duties of a prescribed officer under this Act.
