False allegations of corruption to be punishable.-( I) Whoever makes any allegation of corruptto!l against. a pubh~ man with m~ciou~ motive or witb intent to cause inJUry to hlDl knowmg that there 1s no I -~ just or lawful· ground for making such allegation, shal:l be punishable w1th m1pnsonment for a term which may extend to SIX months and with fine whL<:h may extent to Jtwo thousand rupees. (2) No court :-.hall take cogmsance of any offence under sub- scx:tion (1) exoopt with the 'previous sanction of the Commission.
