Consideration and priority to be given to the persons facing physical, mental, social and economic challenges.—(1) The Local Public Health Officer shall ensure that the activities and services formulated as part of prevention of communicable diseases and protection of public health are available to the sections of people who need special consideration and attention such as aged, bedridden, severely ill, differently-abled etc.. The activities and programmes relating to this shall be reviewed by the District Public Health Officer at the District level and the State Public Health Officer at the State level. It shall also ensure that the healthcare programmes of Government including palliative care are effectively implemented among the section of people concerned. (2) The District Public Health Officer at district level and the State Public Health Officer at State level shall ensure whether programmes mentioned in sub-section (1) are effectively implemented. 90 This is a digitally signed Gazette.
