(1) Any reference to a Panchayat contained in any law, rule, bye-law, regulation, [notification], scheme, form or order, in force in the State at the commencement of this Act shall be deemed to be a reference to a Village Panchayat as constituted or reconstituted under this Act. (2) Any reference to a district council constituted under the Kerala District Administration Act, 1979 (7 of 1980) contained in any law, rule, bye-law, regulation, 10A[notification], scheme, form, order, memorandum and articles of association of any society, in force in the State at the time of the commencement of this Act shall be deemed to be a reference to a District Panchayat as constituted or reconstituted under this Act.
