(1) In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "Council" means the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council constituted under Section 3 and 4 of the Nurses and Midwives Act, 1953. (b) "Government" means the Government of Kerala. (c) "Institution" means any organization which conducts Diploma in GNM Course which is recognized by the Council. (d) "Registrar" means the Registrar of the Council. (2) The words and expressions used in these Regulations but not defined shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Nurses and Midwives Act, 1953 and the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Rules, 1972.
