(1) "Subject to his consent, the Chief Justice of India or a Senior Justice of the Supreme Court as nominated by him shall be the Visitor of the University". (2) The Visitor shall have the right to call for report on any matter pertaining to the affairs of the University and to issue suggestions for improvements. (3) The Visitor shall have the right to attend any meetings of the General Council, Executive Council or the Academic Council. (4) The Visitor, if present, shall, preside over the convocations conferring honorary degrees or other distinction of the University. (5) In case the Visitor give any direction to the University, it shall give effect to such direction within a period of ninety days or show cause why such direction could not be implemented, to the Visitor
