(1) An applicant for quarrying lease shall, before the deed referred to in rule 32 is executed, deposit as security a sum of [one thousand rupees for all minor minerals except dimension stones] only for the due observance of the terms and conditions of the lease. [(2) In the case of dimension stones in rule 8A the security deposit shall be Rs. 10,000 (Rupees Ten thousand only) per hectare. The security amount shall be refundable on the expiry of period of lease after deducting penalties if any] (3) The security deposit shall be remitted to the credit of the State Government to the remittance head of account as the Government may by special order specify in this regard.
