(1) The Government may from time to time issue to the Board such general or special [directions regarding important matters] as they may deem necessary or expedient for the purposes of carrying out the objects of this Act and the Board shall be bound to follow and act upon such directions: [x x x x] (2) The decision of the Government [whether it is important] or not shall be final. (3) The Government may issue direction to Kerala Maritime Board to develop non major ports in accordance with the provisions of the Indian Ports Act, 1908 (Central Act 15 of 1908) and the amended Act, if any, by the Government of India.
