The consumer shall remit the security in cash or by cheque or by demand draft or by any other form of remittance as approved by the licensee: Provided that fifty percent of the amount of security deposit in the case of HT and EHT consumers may be furnished in the form of bank guarantee issued by any Scheduled Bank to the satisfaction of the licensee: Provided further that the consumer shall keep such bank guarantee alive throughout the period during which he avails supply of electricity.
