(1) Before fumigated cargo, such as grain, is loaded or unloaded, adequate measures shall be taken to ensure that the cargo is safe to handle. (2) If skins, wool, hair, bones or other animal parts have not been certified as having been disinfected, in particular against anthrax or in cases where a risk of infection is suspected, the dock workers concerned shall; (a) be instructed in the risks of infection and the precautions to be taken, for example by cautionary notices or placards; (b) provided with suitable protective equipment; and (c) be subjected special medical supervision.
