Appointment of officers and staff.— (1) The Government may appoint a Chief Executive Officer and such number of other officers and staff as they consider necessary to assist the Board in the discharge of its functions and duties under this Act. 1[(2) The Chief Executive Officer shall be an officer in the post not below the rank of Joint Director of the Dairy Development Department working in that Department. He shall attend the Board meetings and shall maintain records including the minutes of the meeting.] (3) Subject to the provisions of sub-section (4), the method of appointment, salary and allowances and other conditions of service of the 2[officers and staff being appointed] under sub-section (1), shall be fixed by the Board with the approval of the Government.
