[(1)] If any member/[Autorickshaw Owner] defaults payment of any monthly contribution, the same may be paid in subsequent months together with penal interest of Re. 1 per month. If the worker does not pay the contribution consecutively for six months he shall cease to be a member of the scheme. However, the District Executive Officer may consider the cases of request for revival in respect of defaults beyond six months and pass appropriate orders. In all discontinued cases the member will receive the entire amount standing to his credit on the date of completion of [50] years of age of the worker: Provided that in all discontinued cases the nominee in the event of his death will receive the entire amount standing to the members' credit immediately when the nominee will make an application for the purpose. [(2) If any Autorickshaw Owner as defined in Sub-clause 2 (1) (p) defaults payment of contribution to the fund as provided under sub clause (i) (b) of clause 6, the District Executive Officer will issue a demand notice to such Autorickshaw Owner stating the arrear of such contribution with a direction to remit the amount along with 12% interest per annum for the period of such default within seven (7) days of receipt of such notice. If on receipt of such notice the defaulter fails to remit the amount within the stipulated time, without any reasonable cause to be submitted in writing the District Executive Officer, will issue a certificate for that amount along with 12% interest per annum for such defaulted amount to the District Collector of the Revenue District in which the demand arises and the collector on receipt of the certificate will proceed to recover the same in the manner as arrear of land revenue].
