(1) Save as otherwise provided in this Act, any casual vacancy among the members, other than ex officio members of any authority of the University shall be filled, as soon as may be, by the person or body who or which nominated that person and the person nominated to casual vacancy shall be a member of such authority or body for the remaining period for which the person whose place he fills would have been a member. (2) The Board of Governors may remove any person from membership of any authority or body of the University on the ground that such person has been convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude: Provided that no order for removal shall be passed against any person without giving him an opportunity of being heard. (3) Any person who is a member of any authority of the University, other than the Board of Governors or the [Syndicate], as a representative of another body, whether of the University or not, shall retain his seat in the authority or body only so long as he continues to be a member of the body by which he was nominated and thereafter till his successor is duly nominated. (4) If any question arises as to whether any person has been duly nominated or he is entitled to be a member of such authority of the University, the question shall be referred to the Chancellor whose decision thereon shall be final.
