Authorized Officer.- The Government may appoint an officer of the Government not below the rank of a Group ‘A’ officer 1[Group 'A' Senior Officer of Revenue Department]1 of the State Civil Services as Authorised officer, who shall exercise powers under this Act and such other powers as may be specified by the Government from time to time.
