Functions of social boycott prohibition officer.- A social boycott Prohibition Officer shall perform the following functions, namely:- (a) to detect the commission of offence under the provisions of this Act by any person in the area of his jurisdiction, by taking such action as he deems fit and to report such cases to the Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner; (b) to assist the Magistrate while he is trying the offences and its proceedings under this Act.
