Appointment, powers and duties of Secretary.- (1) The Board shall have a Secretary who shall be an officer of the Department of Public Secondary Education Examination [1966: KAR. ACT 16 308 Instruction not below the rank of a Deputy Director of Public Instruction, appointed by the State Government. (2) The Secretary shall, subject to the control of the 1[Director]1 exercise such powers and perform such duties as may be prescribed.
