Prohibition against obstruction of Adhyaksha or Upadhyaksha, etc,.- Any person obstructing an Adhyaksha, Upadhyaksha, Secretary or member of a Grama Panchayat, or Adhyaksha, Upadhyaksha, Executive Officer or member of a Taluk Panchayat, or Adhyaksha, Upadhyaksha, Chief Executive Officer or member of a Zilla Panchayat, or any person employed by the Grama Panchayat or Taluk Panchayat or Zilla Panchayat or any person with whom a contract has been entered into by or on behalf of the Grama Panchayat, Taluk Panchayat or Zilla Panchayat in the discharge of his duty or of anything which he is empowered or require to do by virtue, or in consequence, of this Act or any rule, bye-law, regulation or order made thereunder shall, on conviction, be punished with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.
