The Registrar

The Registrar.- (1) The Registrar shall be appointed by the Vice- Chancellor with the written approval of the Chancellor in such manner and on such terms and conditions as may be laid down by the Statutes and as directed by the Vice Chancellor from time to time; (2) All contracts as defined in Statutes shall be entered into and signed by the Registrar on behalf of the University; (3) The Registrar shall have the power to authenticate records on behalf of the University and shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be laid down by the statutes or may be required from time to time, by the Chancellor or the Vice-Chancellor; (4) The Registrar shall be responsible for the due custody of all therecords and the common seal of the University and shall place before the Chancellor, the Vice-Chancellor or any other authority all such information and documents as requested; (5) The Registrar is authorized to sue or to be sued on behalf of the University;
