Power of State Government to authorise local authorities to exercise powers under the Act .- The State Government may, by notification, authorise any local authority within the area subject to the jurisdiction of such local authority, to exercise all or any of the powers of the State Government or the District Magistrate under this Act, subject to such restrictions and conditions as may be specified in such notification.
