Election to the Corporation.-(1) A general election shall be held for the purpose of constitution of a new Corporation before the expiry of the duration of the existing Corporation or on dissolution. (2) The superintendence and the conduct of general election and for casual vacancy of Councilors shall be vested in the State Election Commission. (3) The officer designated by the State Election Commission shall maintain a list of voters for each ward of such municipal area. (4) The date of such an election shall be fixed by the State Election Commission in consultation with the Government.
